Purpose of the Program

The program is designed to assist those who wants to serve as pastor/ preacher and to work in the church ministry, religious organisations, faith- based mission in different categories, to develop theological and ministerial competency through academic study, a broad look at the ministerial experience and practice of many disciples of Christ and the student’s personal experiences as a person of faith.

Learning Objectives

Demonstrate competence in theological knowledge, ministerial knowledge, spiritual development and integrate all into ministerial practice
Exhibit knowledge of good church beliefs and practises and reject all beliefs and practices that have no theological foundation.
Demonstrate skills useful for effective ministry and leadership in the church
Demonstrate ability to carry out research and publish findings that may be of value in the field of pastoral studies.
Submit a dissertation/thesis (depending on the terminology in your country).

Admissions Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in theology, pastoral theology, pastoral studies or related discipline with a second class upper division obtained from a university or institution accredited by the applicant country’s ministry of education and all necessary regulatory authorities. Candidates with less certification can also apply and will be accessed on merit.
