Purpose of the Program

This course introduces students to the key theological disciplines, provide deep understanding of theological concepts of Biblical Studies and Systematic Theology, introduces students to in-depth study of the Word of God, the doctrine of God, biblical anthropology, and the doctrine of sin.

Learning Objectives

  • Develop knowledge of the books of the Bible, Old Testament, New Testament, some selected books of the Bible and its messages.

  • Develop understanding of Bible doctrine, the theological importance of the Bible to the Christian faith.

  • Develop knowledge of spiritual formation and the dynamics of a vital Christian life.

  • Develop knowledge of effective communication, through writing and speaking.

  • Develop understanding of the Christian faith and interpret the Christian faith within the framework of the Bible, with a proper understanding of Bible history and theological dimensions.

  • Develop competence to utilise insight gained from knowledge of books of the Bible and theological importance of the Bible to effective practice of ministry in the church, community and the world.

  • Develop ability to write long essay on theological ideas.

Admissions Requirements

  • Applicants must pass Grade 12 or GED examination, approved for secondary school leavers in the United States of America or equivalent in host country with a minimum of four (4) credit in English Language, Christian Religious Studies and two (2) other subjects.

  • Applicants with Certificate in Theology (C. Th) obtained from an accredited university will be considered for admission.

  • Matured ministers of the gospel who have three credit passes including English Language will be considered for admission.

  • Applicants must pass the entrance examination and interview set by the University.

  • Each application will be treated on merit.
