Purpose of the Program

The program enhances the knowledge of students about nature, foundation, content, methods of Christian theology with its exposure to biblical, theological, and ethical tools to analyse, discuss and provide answers to contemporary social issues affecting the church and society.

Learning Objectives

Demonstrate knowledge of biblical and theological principles necessary for effective ministry and leadership that will ensure growth of the church and sustainable achievements in the practice of ministry.
Demonstrate knowledge of biblical, theological and ethical principles necessary for teaching the gospel in order to deepen the faith of the church, increase their spiritual development in order to lead them to maturity in their faith and service.
Demonstrate skill in the interpretation of the Bible and its application to day -to - day events in the ministry such as preaching, teaching and evangelism.
Exhibit traits of committed discipleship, adherent of the Word, pouring into others, training them in Word, in Relationship, and in Ministry, so that they might develop as healthy believers who can walk by faith and share in love.
Demonstrate ability to carry out research and publish findings that may be of value in the field of Divinity.
Submit a dissertation/thesis (depending on the terminology in your country).

Admissions Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in theology, pastoral theology, pastoral studies or related discipline with a second class upper division obtained from a university or institution accredited by the applicant country’s ministry of education and all necessary regulatory authorities. Candidates with less certification can also apply and will be accessed on merit.
